Never oversell. Never overbuy.
A full MRP that plans from what's actually selling: live reorder points, bills of materials, lots, production runs and purchase orders that draft and send themselves. Optimus Nine keeps stock right-sized across every channel.
An MRP built for brands that sell online
Forecast & MRP
Demand from every channel becomes a material plan: what to buy, what to make and when, with weeks of cover per SKU.
Restock priority
A ranked list of products below their reorder point, how critical each is, and the purchase order that fixes it.
Bills of materials
Multi-level BOMs roll up component needs and costs. Change a pouch supplier once and every finished good updates.
Lots & production
Track raw material, in-process and finished lots. Production runs consume components and create finished stock with full traceability.
Purchasing & vendors
Purchase orders with lead times, prices and delivery dates, emailed from your own Microsoft 365 mailbox and received against the PO.
Books built in
Banking, journal and general ledger, with production and purchasing posting automatically. Debits equal credits without re-keying.
From a sale to a restock, on its own
Sell
Orders from every channel reduce available stock and update each SKU's velocity.
Calculate
Reorder points recalculate from demand, supplier lead time and your safety stock.
Order
A purchase order drafts itself with the right quantity and supplier, ready to approve and send.
Receive
Stock arrives against the PO, lots are recorded, and the books post themselves.
See what's short before your customers do
Inventory value, items to restock, finished goods ready to ship and open purchase orders at a glance. The restock list ranks every SKU by how soon it runs out, and the material stage view shows what's raw, in process and packed.
- Weeks of cover and daily velocity per SKU
- Critical, warning and healthy states at a glance
- One click from a shortage to its purchase order
Every product, its BOM, cost and channels in one table
Products carry their bill of materials, unit cost, retail price, stock by lot and the channel SKUs they map to. Import from spreadsheets or MRPeasy in an afternoon, then keep one source of truth.

Why gut feel fails at three channels
With one store and ten products, the person who packs the boxes knows when to reorder. Add Amazon, a wholesale account and a subscription program, and that knowledge breaks. Demand arrives from places nobody watches together, suppliers take longer in some months than others, and one late container can empty a best-seller for three weeks.
Stockouts cost more than the lost sale. On marketplaces, an empty listing loses its ranking, and winning it back costs advertising. Overbuying costs too: cash sits on shelves, storage fees grow, and dated product ages out. A reorder point turns this balancing act into arithmetic.
The formula
Daily demand is how many units you sell per day across all channels, measured over a window that reflects the season. Lead time is the days from placing an order to having sellable stock, including production and freight. Safety stock is the cushion that covers the days when demand runs hot or the supplier runs late.
A worked example
Golden Flax 2 lb sells an average of 82 units a day across Amazon, Walmart and the web store. The supplier needs 14 days from order to delivery. You keep 360 units of safety stock.
Optimus Nine recalculates this every day. If velocity climbs after a promotion, the reorder point rises with it. If the supplier's recent deliveries have taken 18 days instead of 14, you'll see that too.
Setting safety stock
Safety stock is where judgement still matters. Three common approaches, from simple to precise:
- Days of cover: hold a fixed number of days of demand, for example five days. Simple and easy to explain.
- Max minus average: (maximum daily sales × maximum lead time) − (average daily sales × average lead time). Covers your worst recent combination.
- Service level: a statistical buffer based on the variability of demand and lead time. Best when you have a year of clean data.
Components and bills of materials
If you make your own products, the reorder point has to travel down the bill of materials. One case of Golden Flax 2 lb needs 16 lb of flaxseed, 8 pouches, a carton and 8 labels. When the finished good needs replenishing, Optimus Nine checks whether you have the components, and raises purchase orders for the ones you don't.
| Component | Per case | For 2,400 cases |
|---|---|---|
| Flaxseed | 16 lb | 38,400 lb |
| Pouch | 8 | 19,200 |
| Carton | 1 | 2,400 |
| Labels | 8 | 19,200 |
Seasonality and promotions
Averages lie in December. Use a demand window that matches the season ahead, and plan promotions as a separate lift on top of baseline demand. Optimus Nine's channel forecast shows each channel's contribution, so a Prime Day spike on Amazon doesn't inflate the reorder point for your wholesale accounts.

Inventory, answered
Can it replace MRPeasy or spreadsheets?
Yes. Inventory & MRP covers products, BOMs, lots, purchasing, production, vendors and a general ledger, and we import your existing data during onboarding.
Does it send purchase orders for me?
It drafts them with quantity, supplier and delivery date. You approve and send from your own Microsoft 365 mailbox, or allow trusted suppliers to receive them automatically.
Does it track lots and expiry?
Yes. Raw material, in-process and finished lots are tracked through production, so any case can be traced back to its inputs.
Can the team use it on the warehouse floor?
Yes. Install Optimus Nine on a phone or tablet and it opens full-screen like an app, with the same roles and permissions.
